For those of you able to attend and don't have class, we will be participating in Adopt a Highway this Wednesday! Please meet in Caputo Lobby at 3 pm where we will distribute our clean-up gear (gloves, vests, bags) and arrange for carpooling. If you have a car on campus, please be prepared to assist in carpooling! This community service opportunity is a great way to give back to your community and build your professional experience. It would ideally be nice to have at least a couple dozen volunteers for the clean up. Further directions will be given when we meet at 3:00 pm on Wednesday in the Caputo Lobby! Let me know of any questions you may have. The clean up should last about an hour or so!

AMS Meetings

We host mandatory meetings each year: State of the AMS, where we recap the semester and overview the direction of the organization, and our Elections Meeting where we select new officers for the next year.

Met-Mentor program

Met-Mentor events are in the first month of each new school year. They introduce incoming students to upperclassmen through social gatherings and team-building exercises. Contact an officer to join us in welcoming the newest group of student meteorologists!

Chapter meetings

Our student chapter operates as a team. All students are welcome to listen in and help decide the future of our chapter through bi-weekly Chapter Meetings.

Committees

MU-AMS runs two committees: Events/Fundraising, focused on social and professional development, and Community Outreach, focused on teaching and volunteering in our community. These committees showcase our student body's impressive involvement and volunteer qualities.

We also host social events including movie nights, bowling nights, Hershey Park trips and more! We hope to add an escape room, laser tag, an observatory trip, a Hershey Bears game and more this year.
