Join us for our Annual Department Picnic at Freedom Memorial Park by the John Herr’s. Join us for an afternoon of fun activities, food (pizza included), and bonding time with your peers. This event is open to ANYONE in the AMS Chapter. If you plan to walk over (~20-minute, one-mile walk), please meet in the Weather Center (Caputo 401) around 3:15 PM on the 29th, and we will begin our walk to Freedom Memorial Park around 3:30 PM. If you plan on driving, it is only about a 5-minute drive from campus. We hope to see you there!!!

AMS Chapter Meetings

During the school year, we will host monthly meetings (except in December, January, and May) to discuss what we have been up to in the previous month(s) and the exciting events we have planned for the following weeks.

Met-Mentor program

Met-Mentor events are in the first month of each new school year. They introduce incoming students to upperclassmen through social gatherings and team-building exercises. Contact an officer to join us in welcoming the newest group of student meteorologists!

Speaker Series

Professionals in the atmospheric sciences, emergency management, and other related communities share their experiences and advice through our popular Speaker Series. See past speakers here.

Sub Clubs

MU-AMS has 4 sub-clubs within the chapter. These include Millersville Storm Tracking (MiST), Space Weather, Weather Watch, and Weather Balloon Team. If you are interested in joining any of these clubs, please attend our annual Sub-Club Round Robin, where you can sign up!

We also host social events including movie nights, bowling nights, Hershey Park trips and more! We hope to add an escape room, laser tag, an observatory trip, a Hershey Bears game and more this year.
